Mixers with motorized faders and MIDI

Postby ASauer » Tue Nov 05, 2019 11:21 pm

2 mixers Yamaha O2R version 2 have partially died (of one the cursor buttons do not work, on the other there is something wrong with a clock, so an inserted CD8 Analog card does not work).

Now I am looking for a replacement.
I need 8 mic channels 16 line channels and ADAT in/out.
It should have MIDI (since the desk is operated via MIDI program changes).
It should have motorized faders (so I can program smooth fades between presets).

Since O2Rs are getting sort of old, it might be wise to buy something newer, second hand (There is hardly any budget at this time, and apart from that you might buy something older for less money and still have a lot of fun).

Suggestions?
Do they still make mixers with MIDI-controllable faders that can be slowly faded between presets?

TIA

I'll get in first and say X32 :D It can respond to MMC data via midi, an ADAT card os available it has 38 analogue inputs and 25 motorised faders for under £1500 new.

It might be worth looking at the 02R96, as you are already familiar with an 02R?
