From Robert Lofgren, a beta tester, over at the PSW forums,

Robert Lofgren wrote:Wing has two option cards. One internal (populated when ordering) and one external like on the x32.

The internal one can be fitted with either sg or dante. This means that you can record up to 128ch of audio if you want to

Sounds promising. What's 'sg'?

Stereo channels can be controlled by a single DCA fader on the X32 and the latest firmware, I think, allows custom layers so, although you have only 8 DCAs you can mix and match their faders in a custom layer.

The Wing does look a seriously nice bit of kit for the money though. Not that I'll be selling my X32C anytime soon, it does everything I need and more, especially since I've mostly retired :D .

It'll be WSG, or Waves Soundgrid

If those are lights pointing down at the I/O connections, then that's a good idea.

Yep, and the brightness is adjustable.
Also, if it wasn't already spotted, the top section is wider that the I/o section so in theory it will fit on a smaller table if necessary.
And Stageconnect will be freely usable by anyone with no licencing cost or cost to acquire the datasheets, that should help adoption of what looks to be a quite useful standard.

Er, no.

If only that were the case, though...
