Active speakers sound to high on lowest volume

Postby Carsten » Wed Feb 12, 2020 9:59 am

Hi everone!

I have just bought a turntable with a preamt (Lenco BT 188) and active speakers (Edifier R1100). They sound awesome together. :-|
But, there is one issue... when I like to turn down the volume to create a nice background music, is stays to loud before the sound goes off...
So by twisting the volume 0.01 milimiter, the soud starts to loud.

Do anyone has any idea on what I might be doing wrong, or what I can adjust/purchase to make this better?

I connect them by an RCA to RCA cable.

Thank you in advance! :D

Kind regards,

Carsten

Sounds like you need something like this: A passive volume controller to connect between the record player's line output and the speaker's line (Aux) input.

There are other similar units available from other manufacturers.
