BME, not sure if you still frequent the forum - I've got two more Unity cards if you're still interested in code cracking? :SOS:

Ok, brilliant.. I've got the serials on Flickr but it won't let me connect right now (train wifi) so will post when I can. I'm working away for a few days now so I'll do the ST command thing when I get back near the 02r..

Thanks.

I've hit a stumbling block.. I thought the ST command would display the codes (because they're active) but seems it doesn't, frustratingly.

The dealer codes are both CF17 but that's about all I can get out of them..

I didn't dare press the initialize button just in case it asked for codes..

What do you think, BME?

You need only the licentie-codes if you reset the card (sometimes if you change the Batterij).
Or if you want to enable an extra engine on your card.
Are both engines on both cards enabled?
Sometimes the licence codes are written in the manual by hand.
If not, you have to ask the seller.
This issue is the main problem: there is no easy way to discover the codes. TC Electronic doesn’t provider the codes anymore. That’s why I try to find the relation between the serialnumbers and the licence codes.
Hopefully you can provide the combinations.

BME, I put a post here too - maybe that will shed some light?

I changed the battery on one of the Unity cards this evening but hooked up a dummy battery to keep the memories / codes intact..

recently, i changed the battery of the Unity card. Now, it shows "No valid Software found on the Unity card, please upload...". Does anybody have the Upload Software "TC-Unity Software.asp", so i can upload via 02R Host port?

PM me your email - not entirely sure if it's what you'll need but I'll send it over - I downloaded this folder a while back from the TC site.. :SOS:

I changed the battery on one of mine a few weeks back but hooked up a temporary battery to the terminals whilst I had the old one out just in case it threw a wobbly - I appreciate that doesn't help you now but might be worth considering for next time.

Lastly, not sure what version of Windows you're running but last time I used the software, it was on XP..

Best of luck.

Hi there
I have a Yamaha 02R with an unit.y card with licens. Changed the battery last night and now it seems that I cant use the card.
It recognizes it in Utility - slot 3, but there is only --- --- --- --- at tape 1/2 etc.

Hi VTypeV4
Thanks for your reply. Have taken some screenshots, but is seems rather difficult to put them into a message here :(
The 02 R recognizes the Unit-y card, but I cant understand the routing from ex. track 1 (microphone).
The internal effectblocks are running perfect.
Im stucked...

This forum doesn't host images so you need to put them up somewhere and post a link here. Imgur.com seems to work well as an image hosting site for many people.

Just by the by, and not sure whether someone mentioned this already, but as regards the perceived sound-quality deficiencies some people have expressed about the original 02R: Frank Fillipetti recorded and mixed James Taylor's 'Hourglass' on it, winning a Best Engineering Grammy. Even used the built-in preamps, which I've heard a lot of people bad-mouthing.

Which is good enough for me...
