Hope this is in right forum (mods do move if not!), but I just wanted to shout out about the after sales support from DSI.

My P6 - 2 years old - failed a voice calibration, mid project. Emailed DSI support and got Carson responding ( time diffs aside) straight away. Ran me through some checks which confirmed a voice card issue. One was dispatched and arrived here well packed and tracked. Sorted.

Too often we hear about bad or just indifferent support, I can say in this case I can’t fault it and felt it ought to be acknowledged. A £2k synth is a serious investment and you’d like to know when things aren’t right they’ll get sorted.

Well done DSI.

Ian - just off to play..........

That IS good news Ian, but it doesn't surprise me, as I have a DSI Prophet 12 and have therefore spent a lot of time on the DSI forums.

Whenever any DSI owner has a problem, the company invariably leap in and get them sorted, just as you describe.

It's good to have the good service reinforced with some praise though

Yes, I find the forum helpful too.....although there are a few folk who seem to want the P6 to be as complex a beast as the P12 via firmware upgrades. Me, I’m just happy to have an old school WYSIWYG poly synth with some of the genes from the P5.

Somewhat later than the original post but I too have had an excellent experience with DSI. My Prophet-6 arrived with 3 or 4 of the factory presets obviously corrupted as they spewed white noise when selected.

Contacted support, they got back to me within hours, gave me an undocumented series of button presses to overwrite the factory presets with copies of the user-patch slots containing the 'user-editable' copies of the corrupted voices.

Worked like a treat. It's been as solid as a rock ever since.

If only Arturia would take a leaf out of DSI's book... but that's a different thread :)

DSI totally, unequivocally, rock.
