"Dynamic microphone" = "Mic"
"Capacitor/Condenser/LD mic" = "Posh Mic"
"Ribbon/SD mic" = "Nerd Mic"
Any other mic type = "Weird Mic"

But what about "Crystal Mic"? When I were a lad that were t'bread-an'-butter mic for our little battery tape recorders... also served as a useful earphone... Anything else were a 'posh' mic...

Kids today... they don't know they're born....
