I was browsing the forums on my mobile yesterday, and got a pop-up at the top of the page informing me that I could use tapatalk to follow it better.
Is that suggestion a direct feature of the SOS site (or the forum software itself) when viewed on mobile devices, or was it more likely to be the software on my Samsung phone trying to be clever?
No complaints either way, I was just curious!

Re: Forum on mobile
Tapatalk has been enabled for the SOS forums since soon after the change to the latest forum software. So definitely NOT your phone trying to be clever.
You'll notice that posts regularly appear with the addendum 'posted from tapatalk' or something along those lines.

Re: Forum on mobile
Tapatalk (iOS) works fine for the forum, but if I try to return a PM Tapatalk generates some meaningless error message and sulks. It would be interesting to know if anyone else sees this error.

Re: Forum on mobile
What's Tapatalk? I gather its some sort of forum reading software but is there any advantage to using it as compared with, say, Firefox on my phone?

It's just an easier interface on a phone - and you don't have to sign in every time. Messaging replies still don't work, though.

Thanks. FWIW I don't have to sign in every time using Firefox on my phone and messaging works so I think I'll stick with it.
