OSCar Moog

Postby Craigyb » Fri Mar 15, 2019 3:32 pm

I'm referring to an article back in 2004 surrounding an Oscar built into a Moog source case belonging to Roger Lyons. ... 0604#para1

This OSCar was actually built by myself as I could not afford a new Oscar. I was the technician for Dougies music and I brought it into the store to display my work. It was left there for some time and Dougie called me to say that he had given it to a customer.

Later I found out it was Roger Lyons.

I'm still looking for the machine I built and have contacted SOS regarding this in the past and got no reply.

Interesting story, and thanks for sharing it! For interested readers, the original Roger Lyons article is here:

And this is the franken-synth in question:

The Crosstalk piece you linked to says the synth eventually went to someone in Los Angeles, but you'll need to contact Roger Lyons, rather than SOS, to try and get more info on that.

Can't believe you took it into the shop, and the shop sold it to a customer! :headbang:
