Editing post time window mod?

Postby Wonks » Tue Nov 26, 2019 8:15 am

I'm sure the answer is no, but is there any way that the editing time window for a post can be kept open whilst you are in the process of editing it?

Several times I've gone back to edit a post, then when I've gone to save the edit, I've had a message saying I can no longer alter the post. Annoying, especially when it's a long edit or addition. As there's no indication the edit period is over, you don't even get the chance (unless you get into the habit of always doing it, just in case) of copying the modified post so you can then paste it into a new post.

Hi Wonks

The setting allows 45 minutes from the time of posting of the original message. It's not sophisticated enough to do what you ask.

I'll extend the editing period to 60 minutes after posting, just for you.

So can I keep using the Rolls Royce for another couple of months? It's sometimes a bit more convenient than the use of the SOS helicopter. :D

No problem, just ensure you rotate the number plate if you accidentally go above 70mph so that I don't get too many points on my license! ;-) :D
