What a great idea! They should bring that back as a regular feature.

"Stitch On Stitch" perhaps?

That was originally called the 'Paul Pullover' and was the foundation for the Stitch On Stitch empire.

It was great to see SOS return to its roots this month with this sewing feature. Look forward to more fabric-themed articles.

This is just a lot of flannel but it had me in stitches.
I think SOS readers will soon cotton on to this wind up. :D

I went to see Igor perform at the Comedy Club. He had me in stitches.

I went to A&E after cutting my hand on broken glass. The doctor had me in stitches.

After a bad cut, I asked the A&E nurse if I could do my own stitches.

She said, “Suture self.”

is it just me or does M. Wonks seem accident prone? Perhaps a good time to remove all sharp objects from his domicile. :silent:

Wouldn't help. He'd just drop a glass, and cut himself trying to clear up the pieces

It doesn't help only having paws with claws and no opposable thumbs.

That has always sounded odd to me, after all what are un-opposable thumbs? Thumbs that always agree with you?

Ask a panda...

The inter web who never lies said thusly -
The panda’s thumb isn’t actually a thumb; it’s an elongated wrist bone that opposes the five true fingers of the panda’s hand, allowing it to grip and manipulate the delicate bamboo stalks that form the majority of its diet

So opposable non-thumbs that are thumbs. So where was I going with this? Obviously nowhere fast. I’ll just get my toque and go. . . .

It is tautology, but for those people who don't understand that thumbs are thumbs because they are opposable, then it helps provide a fuller picture.
