March '20 Reaper Technique

Postby shurikt » Wed Mar 25, 2020 7:00 pm

I just read Martin Walker's Reaper technique on creating a 'delta' tool for plugins. This was a fantastic tip, and has already proved to be immensely useful. Thank you!

My pleasure shurikt - I'm glad you've found it so useful!

I'm certainly still using this technique on a regular basis, particularly now to hear the overall difference a complete chain of plug-ins is making to the sound. This is great for complex FX chains on individual tracks, but also perfect for monitoring the effectiveness of all the stuff you may have strapped across the mix buss.

As I've said in the past, Reaper may need your head to be rewired in some ways, as it tends to do its stuff in a different way, but once you get your head around it, the possibilities seem to be almost endless 8-)
