I have now watched all the recorded programme and enjoyed it, having never been to the actual event, maybe next year.
I tried to watch it live but only once or twice managed to catch a few minutes, does this require SOS purchasing more bandwidth?
Was there a way to let Jamie have a break and switch to another presenter, this would have also allowed him to reboot his computer much earlier on than when he had to? I presume he was able to eat and have toilet breaks while some pre-recorded inserts were playing.
I don’t know what equipment he was using but did a bit of research to see if it was possible to fade/switch audio on individual sources and the very reasonably priced (recently released) BlackMagic ATEM mini does. I mention this only because it would have made it a more polished production if Jamie’s mic wasn’t always live (mouse clicks, squeaky chair moving about) while inserts were playing and also to fade those inserts in and out.
Congratulations to all involved in getting it done though and giving a flavour of what the real event is like and no doubt giving the regular attendees their ‘fix’ until hopefully a real event next year. Maybe a hybrid event for those who can’t get there?

It was streamed on YouTube, there's no bandwidth problems. I had the live stream on all day, without problems...

I don’t know what it was then, I was able to watch other YouTube content that day. I did notice that there was was a longish delay each time I came back to watch it, could be my iPhone 6 over wi-fi.

Re: Synth Fest 2020
It was just the same YouTube link - once the live stream is over, then you can just play it, but the embed is exactly the same, whether it's live, or not.
I did notice some problems with the website though - hogging CPU and turning my fans on etc, so maybe thats what you were experiencing - and that's why I watched the link directly on YouTube, rather than from within the Synthfest site.

I didn’t know you could look at a live stream on YouTube, I thought that was only for after the event.

Yep, Jamie does a live show that's worth watching.

Re: Synth Fest 2020
I watched it afterwards for the first time thanks.
P.S. Not all of it as it’s not quite my thing.
