While I sympathise with you, I'm not sure "I can't understand your accent" is Paul's problem to solve.

Either way I think offering a massage seems a tad personal...

It's a "northern massage". Totally different thing... :round1:

An aural massage?
Sorry not making fun of the original poster, just enjoying the concept.
:smirk:
My ear, too, has problems with strong accents that I haven’t heard much. Any British tv show automatically has to have the sub-titles turned on. The Missus has no problem.

I think Javier's suggestion is good and helpful. It doesn't take much of an effort to slow down a bit, leave a some space between words (insteadoftalkinglikethis) and vocalise a bit more.

For the record it wasn't my intention either, it was just too good not to... And I certainly can't write in Spanish, so I'll wind my neck in. :)

(Originating from Barnsley), I find Paul’s delivery perfect. In fact I really enjoyed that reverb podcast it was top drawer. Sure not everyone will tune in as easily, but that’s real life. :D

Speaking of sub-titles. Are there any programs that make sub-titling easy? Is that even an option to consider? It could help extend the SOS reach to those whose first language isn’t English.

SOS podcast episodes are available on youtube which offers auto-generated captions. Results may vary.

I often wonder how much exposure the rest of the world has to the variety of English accents. Probably not much.

Re: Massage for Paul White Biog
I didn’t realise we still had regional accents or dialects here in the UK, everyone just sounds like everyone else.
