Have we lost these completely now? Not just the cake?

Just because you know what I'm talking about, it doesn't mean I do!

Just think if they have gone. You can continue to be '39' for ever. ;)

Hippo Birdy to you too :)

And yes, this shiny new phpBB software doesn't have a function to trigger the Birthday Cake on a member's birthday.

The forum index page used to show birthdays when you scrolled towards the bottom. After showing the list of forums you would see the list of users online, and below that a list of members with birthdays that day. But I've just checked now and while it shows the list of users online in the last 5 minutes it no longer shows the list of members with birthdays today. Maybe that's something that changed with the recent update to the phpBB code?

Are the knobs on that cake real, or fondant icing?
And is it a class-compliant in-your-face?

A belated happy birthday Will!

I no longer put my birth date "out there" and use a alias and bombed out factory as a post code.

It's a serious(ish) question - I have a baking-mad daughter who reckons she could make it all out of icing, and a producer friend with a significant birthday coming up. I think an edible replica analogue mixing desk with faders and eq is now a strong possibility.

Happy birthday Will.

Re: Birthdays - an idea

Postby Folderol » Thu Feb 08, 2018 5:40 pm

I wonder if it's possible to make the new birthday topic in the lounge sticky, and then for one of the web magicians to write a script that reads the database and posts a simple:
Happy Birthday [name]

As the lounge is visible to subscribed and logged in people only, that should also provide a layer of privacy.
