And posts I write from scratch work.

Problem is writing a long post from my android directly onto forum is just so difficult. I really prefer the ease and logistics of quick memo especially for a long post

How long is long?

Forum posts have a finite allowed length per post (I'd have to go check settings to find out how many characters it is) -- if you can post short messages, then this implies the problem may be related to character count being exceeded. It would also reject any HTML or javascript, if that gets included perhaps?

So, you are using Quick Memo For Android - on a phone or tablet?

Are you able to post in every other forum apart from Mac Music?

OK, have now checked and the Maximum Character Count per Post is set currently to 90,000 characters (approx 10,000 words), which should accommodate most posts.

One other point, if you have quoted other people's posts, the maximum "nesting" is set to 5 levels of quotations and any extra I'd imagine would prevent the post being accepted. Note: this is for nested quotes within other quotes; you can have as many single-level quotes in a post as you like.

What if you try a test where you cut and paste from one memo to another? It's unlikely that you're hitting some kind of limit on the cut 'n paste buffer on your phone but if you are then that should reveal it.

On various occasions I've need to strip out any possible special codes from text, typically to get abandon differently sized, coloured or formatted text.

On a PC what I always do in this situation is cut 'n paste the text in question into the basic Windows Notepad, then Select All again and paste into the intended destination - all you then get is text. if you suspect you've got rogue stuff compromising an SOS Forum post, it's certainly worth a try.
