Is it just me, or does anyone else really struggle (and dislike) reading digital versions of printed materials? I can't for example read a book on a kindle or iPad. I have tried, but I really don't like the experience and it makes my eyes tired very quickly. The same goes for magazines etc.
Is it just me? Am I just a luddite? :D
Definitely not just you which is why I am looking forward to receipt of the printed version of SOS this month. I have published two books (nothing to do with music) and I a sometimes asked if I cans supply an e-Book version but I refuse to do so - I even turned down a publisher's offer to publish the books because part of the deal was that there would be e-Book versions!!!
My copy still isn't here so, while I'm waiting, I can only see a 'buy the PDF' option, am I missing something or do I not have a high enough level of subscription?

Go to the very top of the page where in the top left corner it reads Hello, Durr GaGa. Next to that in red it reads MY ACCOUNT. Click on that and it will take you to a new page. On the My Account page you will see 8 coloured buttons, one reads Downloads. Click on that and you have access to the pdf downloads that are part of your subscription.

Still waiting down here on the South Coast (Chichester) 8 days delay now. Wonder where the mags are sitting? And the Royal Mail were talking about asking the postmen to collect too! Unbelievable.

Re: North south divide
Still not found its way here either! :protest:
Talking to my local postie, he thinks the requirements for social distancing means substantially lower staff numbers in sorting offices and, because of the rapidly increasing amount of mail as we move towards Christmas (with gifts being ordered on line and posted to relatives rather than delivered in person), they are heavily prioritising first class (business) mail.
So magazine distribution may well be relegated to 'when they can' rather than as promptly as we'd all like!
But it is a Royal Mail issue and not an SOS one, and there's nothing we can do about it, I'm afraid!
