Re: Spam PM
Spam was mostly popular in war time when it was one of the few meats not rationed. I expect that is the contributor to it being a British staple.

You don't need reverb, just stack two EQs together with a really long cable
Re: Spam PM
For the special interested, if you like canned meat, in Italy there's a product that's literally been existing for almost 150 years and it's actually - all things considered - not too bad. Typical childhood memory.
It's called "Simmenthal". In Italy is everywhere but abroad it is very hard to find - sometimes you find the occasional import though.

Spam is nothing like it used to be, just like sausage meat, I used to make my own sausage meat patties, back in the 70’s, with mash and beans, heaven, now it’s Just impossible to get the right sausage meat, it’s just way too soggy, and tasteless.
I can remember when I was doing scaffolding, we had a Greek chip shop opposite our yard, we all used to be in there at lunchtime, spam fritters and chips all round.

The alert message for 3 ghost PMs should have now been removed for everyone and the accidental loop-hole that the spammers discovered so quickly has been patched over and nailed tightly shut.
So everything should now be back to normal... Carry on... :-D

Sorry, but no - not for me.Hugh Robjohns wrote:The alert message for 3 ghost PMs should have now been removed for everyone and the accidental loop-hole that the spammers discovered so quickly has been patched over and nailed tightly shut.

As before still showing "2 new messages" which don't exist. I've tried logging out, closing browser, restarting browser & log back in again - but no change, still 2 new messages (Firefox on Linux Mint, if it makes any difference).
Unless, of course, it's a change that will take time to work its way through all accounts?

Hi Rob,
Can't replicate this on any browser or device I have access to so it might be cookie related. Delete the sosforum cookie and close and reopen your browser of choice, log into the SOS Forum and hopefully it'll be gone.
We don't have FF on Linux to test, I'm afraid. Do you have a non-Linux PC to check it on?

Re: Spam PM
I had a spam from "dsp.shp" (0 forum posts) during this stage, and reported it a few days ago and purposely didn't delete it so it could be investigated.
