Hi Guys,
Sticking this here and flagging it for the mods (who can delete if they want), but I've just got 3 spam PMs from the user 'Rock-Dock' for their loops. All are addressed to the Elf, but I remember someone saying that bots / bad users occasionally get through filters. Interestingly, this one has 0 posts, so I'm not sure how they managed to send PMs.
Anyway, flagging this post FYI. Cheers

Thanks Dave. The offending account has been banned. We know how and why it happened also, and steps are being taken as we speak to lock the loophole down!

Yep me too. I’m seriously wondering who thinks SPAM emails, calls and other uninvited correspondence will make me more interested in spending my cash on them. Seriously who?.?
Puzzled and obviously showing my age. :x
Thanks to mods for doing a sterling job on keeping us (mostly) idiot free, (I slipped under the turnstile obviously :headbang: ) .

Indeed - I suspect that "Rock-Dock" and his Loops Tracks might have just lost thousands of potential new customers by their ridiculous spam attack ;)

Re: Spam PM
Problem!
Rock doc and his three messages have gone but regrettably I still have the 3 new messages prompt on display and no way of getting rid of it since I can't read the messages (not that I want to, of course).
How do I get rid of it?

Re: Spam PM
Sorry, I was in such a rush to delete his account and posts I did not think of the possible impact in alert messages.
Will speak with the forum tech guru on Monday and see if he has a way to remove the alert box message from everyone's account.

Excellent. I guess I can live with it for a few days :) . With a bit of luck it'll be a bit of minor database confusion fixable with some simple SQL.
