Regular drum collaboration required

Postby macattack » Wed Feb 25, 2015 1:08 am

i'm a melbourne based singer songwriter/producer who is looking to try and write for other artists and maybe film/TV.I am a singer, bass player, acoustic and electric guitarist. I also play some piano. I have a pretty nice recording set up but am very average at writing drum parts for my tunes. I often use Logic's Studio Drummer and Abbey Roads 70's and modern kits but my limited understanding of the kit often results in very sterile sounding drum beats. I'm not sure whether I should be looking for a good programer or a good 'real' drummer to collaborate with. I understand that their are some professional drum sites out there that are quite cost effective. Please feel free to let me know which ones are best for rock, soul, jazz, pop, reggae and folk.
Also if there is anyone here who is drummer who wants to collaborate i am happy to share my vocal, guitar, bass and composition/arrangement skills in return.
Regards Chris
