Visualise and send MIDI over the web

Postby remote-piano » Wed Oct 21, 2020 7:32 pm

Hi All. I've been working on a platform for visualising MIDI input and sending it over the internet that some of you might find useful.

I'm a long time producer but I started learning piano earlier this year and, like many in my position, I had to switch to remote lessons via the internet. I set this up to better enable both me and my tutor to see which notes are being played during a lesson. I've been using it ever since and I'd like to put it but there for others to try. It's possible it would be useful for other things too, like remote jamming, composition or performance. It's not quite ready for public release yet but if anyone's interested in helping to test it then please register here:

Thanks!

Thanks to those who've helped with this so far. The latest update includes a metronome which is transmitted and visible to all musicians in the session:

I'm currently working on adding video calling so you can see and hear session members in sync with the MIDI data.

Video calling has been added and the public beta is now live:

I hope it's useful!
