What drum effect is this?

Its about 30 seconds to 45 seconds. There's a separate rising pitch effect happening but I want to create a similar effect on my drum midi track (Battery 3 in Cubase 4) to help build up to a loud bass drop. Im not sure if its a rising pitch effect on the drums, if its cutting off lower and higher frequencies with time, or if its a completely different effect. Ideas?

(PS. I made the video to the music from some pics)

Hi ZeuZ,

It's a savage swept EQ cut.

Unless somebody else know something else I instanly think it's just a rising notch filter. You can do it by selecting a narrow bandwidth in an equaliser and then just increase the pitch. Should be easily done with a DAW that has automatable plugins.

Thanks for the replies.

Was also wondering what effect is used on the drums right at the beginning of this track?
