has anyone had a chance to try this amp out?

looks quite interesting. well there are quite a few amps on the market which are able to use various power amp valves (eg THD univalve etc) but this is so far the cheapest one i have seen, at around £189.

i've always wanted to try out a load of "weird" valves (to me any valve which isn't a el34 or a 6L6GC!) to hear what kind of tones they make!

I was waiting for the Combo to hit these shores to see what it sounds like. Whilst I have nothing against Peavey per se, I am a little worried that this is so cheap - the 4x12 is outrageously priced as well. It is Chinese manufactured so I would want to wait until folks had used them for a while in anger. The demos were ok and enough to get me interested, but I'd be more interested in the combo.

Mostly, I just like the name ... ;)
