I've opted for the metal pedal bin - got a HH and snare out of that. Warm is not the word. :mrgreen:

Many moons ago, I used a small upside-down saucepan, with a teatowel over it, and was hitting it with a wooden spoon - got exactly the sound I wanted :)

That would be DX21 preset 12, 23, 36, 42, 57... ;)

Someone told me there is an electronic work, by someone like Ligeti or Berio, that is made entirely from the sound of an elastic band.
