Wonks - would you consider fitting Kinman or Mojotone hum-cancelling P-90s to this baby?

And if so (or if not) would you elaborate on your reasoning please?

Probably not. I like the sound of the guitar with the pickups just as they are. For P90s, they don't seem to pick up as much hum as some other guitars with P90s I've had. I can normally find a position when I'm not getting hum from them.

If the pickups sounded bad, then I'd be thinking of replacements and I might consider hum-cancelling versions. But I haven't heard any myself, so it would be a lot of money to spend on something that I'm not sure I would like the sound of.

There's also the question of fit, as the extra coil makes the pickups deeper than standard, and some guitars have needed extra routing to fit the hum-cancelling types.

Actually the newer Kinman offerings (and also the Mojotone Quiet Coil P90s) are now no taller than conventional P90s - and are advertised as fitting in conventionally deep pickup tours...
