Resticking acoustic pup cables

Postby Hewesy » Sat Sep 08, 2018 3:40 pm

Hi all, really quick q if I may.

What's the best glue to use to reattach the cable clips used to stop pup cables knocking around inside an acoustic instrument?

Superglue, wood glue or double sided pads? Or something else?

Just annoying me an causing the odd knock to be passed to the amp at the moment. Which is annoying!

Double sided pads would have been used originally, but you really need to be able to take the old one off first, rather than stick pad to pad.

See this is why i love this forim, thanks Wonks.

Looks like it'll be a job for when the strings are being changed to get better access. I grab some new little sticky pad clips from the diy shop.

Cheers fella,
