All feedback is useful, something I'm always open to and welcome in fact. As most of us do this at home with no other sets of ears so it's always great to get another point of view. Especially when it's as well considered and thought out as yours

Re: Analogue Solutions Generator Cv/Gate Sequencer
Looks like a ton of fun,
Could you post its basic features in point form? Just so we know how this compares to other units and what makes it special?
Yes, I could google it myself but it would be nice to have that as part of the thread,
I think there is money in advanced CV sequencing, that goldmine has yet to be plundered, I know it could be my mind imposing "Phantom betterness" onto a preferred method, but I would swear on the Bible that CV sequenced material sounds, not just better than MIDI, but more "Alive" and vibrant.
Again, could all be in my head, but I have some of those EHX Crash Pads and Super Space Drums, along with the clockworks "sequencer" Clock Divider. I sampled the Clock Works triggers into my MPC 1000, and used its individual outs to trigger 4 different units,
My first reaction, was: "I can FEEL the lack of an infinitely variable voltage (Even though the variance would be microscopically small) I can FEEL the deadness of the "canned" sample triggers...
...Fully aware I may be trippin' balls, but it is what it is, I'll try it again today and see if I have the same reaction.
The one thing that makes me trust my gut on this, is that I had the SAME reaction the first time I played an Akai AX-80, It felt DEAD, I own DCO synths but this was different,
Recent autopsies have proved the AX-80 is in fact NOT an Analog synth, its sound generation is 100% digital, it was the world's first V.A synth, before that name even existed (Before you start arguing to defend your AX-80 you paid WAY to much for because of the Jexus demo, GO DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH, It's no longer debatable, the AX-80 IS NOT ANALOG...Sorry, and no, its not like a Juno or a Matrix 6, it's a unique design that is DIGITAL...the end)

Re: Analogue Solutions Generator Cv/Gate Sequencer
I need some of the stuff you're on!!!! :D
As Requested:
Generator Features:
Three 16 Step Cv out
3 Gate out one of which can be "flipped" to play the gates that are not currently being used
Pattern Length can be changed quicky as well as the start and end point with the loop controls
Gate is set by 4 controls eg control 1 turns on gates 1,5,9,13 you can easily select all or which ever gates you want to turn on from these controls
A Voltage Generator/keypad this can be used to transpose the pattern manually or auto transpose 4 note changes.
It can be used to rest or start the sequence or for velocity or for pre-selected gate patterns or as a 6 note keyboard etc
Internal clock is an Analogue LFO the speed of which can be changed by cv, it can be clocked by external CV or by midi note
Freeze function that stops the gate progressing by pressing the voltage generator
One shot or loop mode
Various patch points for resets, daisy chaining, velocity etc
Although thats a bit of a wall of text the Sequencer really is intuitive and quick and easy to use :)

Some more Polymath, this is pretty raw and uptempo
Sequenced it with the Generator and transposed with the Telemark keys while tweaking the sound

Generator Sequencer Workflow Demo
A sequence created from scratch, tweaked and recorded into Logic using smart tempo, upped the bpm added strings and hey presto a song...
I used a software piano as tuning reference but normally just guess the notes by singing doe ray me into myself :D

Binned the last Bladerunner video as I felt I could make it better and faster
So this time I did my normal workflow, tuned by ear and transposed live
So it's the Blade runner sequence made and played in 2 minutes and 30 seconds :)

Productive day tune wise no so work wise :D

2 x Generators, 2 x Polymath
Then played about with the loop in the mixer

I'm still unsure about your kick sounds Davy - this Nyborg 24 Kick sounds rather 'cardboard boxy' to me, and has no real bottom end end again, leaving little foundation 'oomph' for your loop.
Love all the other sounds though!

+1 ... That creamy synth bass is gorgeous. As you have a QU desk, if you can't find a kick with some beefier low-end at source, there's a good chance that applying some suitable EQ to boost those boomier low frequencies will bring out the 'thud' a treat - I've used the EQ on my QU16 now and again to imbue a sense of occasion to some nice sounds that would otherwise be a little lacking in presence (though my preference is, if possible, to do it at source).

I agree, going to go back to my Telemark kick as I'm not really happy with the current kick :)

I think for the kick I'm going to do it as you suggest and go back to source as I have not been happy with it for a while. I'll look into it today and see what I can come up with :)
The funny thing is I have a kick on the other Nyborg at the moment thats too boomy so I've hit both ends of the spectrum :D
Anyway thanks for listening Martin and Eddie, and thanks also for steering me into focusing on sorting my wayward kick

Changed sounds around, so the Nyborg is now doing hats and the Telemark the kick, still need to do a few more tweaks but think it's better sounding so far

Re: Analogue Solutions Generator Cv/Gate Sequencer
It is sounding better balanced Davy, but IMO still needs more bottom end on that kick - try some EQ on it.
Ideally you need to feel the kick in your chest ;)
