Re: the latest Behringer-gate
And according to the mootboxle live stream last night this is not the last 3340/moog filter synth from Behringer, maybe they are going to do a Memoryboog :D

Re: the latest Behringer-gate
Thought I would update the thread with some pricing info from Thomann, all prices include 20% VAT
VC340 - 499€
MS101 - 299€
Neutron/D are also 299€
Deepmind 12 499€ (6)/599€(12d)/699€(12)
€499 is a steal for a full recreation (well less 1 octave) of the VP330.

Is the Behringer UBXa any good? Anyone tried one and are there any videos online comparing it to an Oberheim OBXa? Or is it still being worked on?

No one's tried one, it's only in a pre-production prototype at this stage...

Re: the latest Behringer-gate
With all these synths, why doesn't Behringer just do a 'complete 70s studio' product where they come round and make your living room look like Jean-Michel Jarre's or Vangelis' home studio?

A weasel hath not such a deal of spleen as you are tossed with!
Re: the latest Behringer-gate
Yeah! For £199 inc VAT!
Oh, only one thing. Where can we buy the musical talent of Mr Vangelis or Mr Jarre?

Re: the latest Behringer-gate
Ooh, I want one! I love the fact that one of the knobs is continuously variable between full Jeff Beck and full Eddie van Halen - there must be so many sweet spots in that range. And then an overall level setting - I would set that to maximum Talent at all times.
Can't believe I have never seen this product before. :headbang:

I've got one and it's a great piece of kit. It's improved my music massively.
Still not very good, though.

The DX1 they acquired form the TFF auction is now fixed, just needed some new capacitors in the PSU and the backup battery had started leaking so that was replaced. All the TFF banks/patches/presets were saved/dumped before the battery was replaced and the factory banks loaded.

I feel dirty but good at the same time. Some Beringher Boog D and Nuetron along with some Erica Gear and Polymath.

Re: the latest Behringer-gate
I know this is more of a TC-Gate than a Behringer Gate, but has anyone checked out the TC (owned by Music Group) June Chorus? I just came across it and got very excited. Never had a Juno but have heard some great demos on YT, like some guy going for the Vangelis Blade Runner sound on a Juno, it sounds hopeless until he switches the chorus in, then it is so like dual detuned oscillators. Obvious I know, but Roland got it so right.
The first video I heard with the June60 was with a guitar. Not very clever, I thought, very strong and fast modulation, actually gets in the way of the sound. Looking around a bit more on YT reveals a few synths going through June60 (Prophet, DX7, and Behringer demoing a VP330 clone). One thing was consistent - they all sound crap through the June60. I think I could detect disappointment in Nick Batt’s voice - “oh, yeah, you can hear it there...” I know YT can be misleading, but it gives a very good impression of the Junos with chorus. June 60 sounds like a chorus combined with a tremelo, giving a really obvious, fast, amplitude modulation.
I will give it more careful listening, with headphones etc (just via iPad speakers thus far). But I would be interested to know if anyone familiar with the Juno chorus has heard the June chorus. Am I getting wrong first impressions, or is this product way off beam?

I was also looking at the June pedal - from the Youtubes I've watched it has way to high a depth setting :(
