Just scored myself one of these for a good price (the prices seem to vary wildly).

No drivers to load, no power supply required... Looks ideal for my live rig. So far it seems to work as advertised.

Anyone else using one?

Sadly, I'm not... but I think I might be at some point. I'd not come across one of these before and it looks to me as if it's something I could really do with

Some of my musical works.
I had a weird time in Surrey once, but that was a drummer's fault.

Oooh, one of those rare USB 3.0 beasties!

For eight channels of MIDI I/O?

Hmm... (glances around the room and starts counting...)

(some time later)

...19...20 ...21...22 MIDI inputs and the same number of outputs (first rule of MIDI, don't talk about the Thru's).

Martin, you're right! I'm a fool... I need 3 of 'em :D

My laptop has USB3 all round. If it brings any benefits, I get them; if not, it makes no difference anyway (strictly speaking it's potentially 8x16 MIDI channels!). This aspect of the device didn't pull me in.

But having so much MIDI I/O in a small-form, bus-powered box that will simply hide away velcro-ed to the back of my keyboard stand? That's the clincher! At the moment I use a USB3 hub, which requires power, doesn't allow me to connect non-USB devices, and multiplies up my devices each time I connect to a different port.

This is a one-stop solution for even my largest live rig!
