Are you talking about the 'Audio Modeling SWAM Solo Instruments' review?

If so, Audio Modeling is the name of the (Italian) company... that apparently prefers the US spelling!

The opening paragraph reads:

While SWAM Woodwinds utilise a hybrid combination of modelling and sampling techniques, SWAM Solo Strings' sound is generated by pure physical modelling with no samples involved at all — hence the instruments' miniscule data footprint. Apparently the modelling techniques arose from an in-depth study...

My emphasis to show the use of UK spelling in the review. :D

Really good toast is brown on the inside but still white on the outside (assuming you start with white bread), Bloody difficult to do though. :D

The Jacaranda hotel in Nairobi used to do toast done on one side specially for the English guests; I've always liked it like that but can rarely be arsed to use the grill rather than the toaster. :)

You could always get a cheap toaster and cut through the power leads to one side of the toaster heater matrix per slot (obviously do this with the toaster unplugged).

I find cheap toasters often behave like this pretty much out of the box... one side gets burnt, the other not-so-much...

Not sure about that but I do recall having a toaster that could toast only one side of the bread (and there was a reason given but I'm bu99ered if I can remember what it was now).....

In Ireland this is common practice. It allows just enough to time for the grill to warm up to do the other side.


With cheese and thinlllly sliced mushrooms/truffles on, of course.
