Re: Processed Vocals
I had a listen and it sounds like they have some form of auto tuning on them. Some of the notes are just too perfectly in tune. I suspect in a mix, they will be fine, but raw like that it didn't feel quite right.
Other than that, I'm not sure what other feedback I can give - vocal processing depends on the overall mix of the song.

Re: Processed Vocals
I think that the source has been auto tuned even if you haven't.
As for any other effects / processing, it really needs the rest of the mix to give any useful feedback..

Re: Processed Vocals
I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve with this mammy. I guess that's a commercial track you have acquired stems from? Like Dave I'm convinced that vocal only track you first posted has some kind of autotune applied (the word "good" is a give-away at 0:25). When I first listened I assumed it was you singing but is the not the case?

These tracks are from Chris Lord Alge's mixing course .They are not stem. All of the instruments are flat and I mixed them one by one .You can watch the course trailer.I wanna develop myself because I ask your opinions. ;)

Re: Processed Vocals
I’ve only listened to this on my iphone and can’t really comment on autotune but once the vocals are stacked either the vocalist has excellent timing or the transients have been lined up by hand or something like Vocalign has been used to give a perfect attack and release.
Personally I like a little more natural variation but it’s a modern style.

Re: Processed Vocals
I don't want to argue but it's blatantly obvious that someone has tuned the **** out of it.

Re: Processed Vocals
The things is, if you're learning to mix, you need to mix stuff which is more representative of the real world. In the real world, singers are out of tune, out of time, move around in front of the microphone, have problems with plosives and sibilance, intrusive breath noises, shrill or muddy tone and proximity effects etc etc etc. It's a piece of cake to 'mix' a vocal which is absolutely perfect when you get it and just needs a bit of sweetening and balancing.

Re: Processed Vocals
I've just been watching that trailer and the VO refers (at 1:10) to 'stems' of the Daughtry track which implies the vocal already has some processing applied.
