"NNNICE!"

Sorry, couldn't resist it...

While watching the first video I turned on CC by mistake. CC doesn’t appear to use spell check. Some very funny typos. Bach corrals anyone?

I would work out three note shell voicings in a variety of positions, ie; Root, 3rd and 7th for the following chords: ma7, m7, dom7, m7b5 and dim7. This allows you navigate around the fretboard without having to deal with complicated shapes. Most jazz chords can be reduced to one of these 5 categories. Good luck

Three Note Voicings and Beyond

by Randy Vincent

Beginner to expert. Brilliantly written, progressive exercises, and will stop you mushing up the band's sound with clunky, six-string CAGED chords. Teaches you rootless chords and voice-leading as it goes along. Best guitar tutor for jazz chords, no question.

Instant gratification is actually pretty good. It's fast as well.
