I've got a client with one of those installed into the SSL console in place of the broken/missing original meter section , it has to be said, it works very well indeed, and I have contemplated adding one to my toy box

The SSL's originally use DK Technology meters, like the one wot I've got on top of the PPMs (or the earlier monochrome yellow ones)... but the TC meter is a very good alternative and everyone seems to be bashing them out at silly money right now. Even Canford! There are stereo-only and surround/stereo versions though, with the latter being more expensive, so make sure you know which version you're buying!

Great article Hugh, thanks. Though it has left me feeling somewhat inadequate, especially in the bass trap department, mine are only 520mm across the front (and also exhibit a notable absence of 'limp mass'). :D

The corner traps do take up a lot of space, but they are definitely worth it, and I managed to make everything else fit in the end... ;-)

No, it came from CPC. It's a Duratool 3327 and a range of replacement tips and other spares are available.
