Laser printer, stick sellotape on the print, soak the paper and rub it off the back, then slap it on the body when it's still a bit damp and then varnish over. There are better ways, but this seems to work for me.

Doh! Turns out I had the output jack wired back to front. :headbang:
Now corrected and noise free. :)

The sellotape stays on, you have to cut it close to the logo and then use the oil/varnish/whatever to blend in the edges.
If you want something that doesn't keep the tape there, I'm told that if you reverse print, with a laser printer, onto print acetate sheet, then you can use a hot iron to transfer the print onto wood. Never done it myself though.

Unless it's for a custom logo/graphic then Lettraset works. Otherwise I had some tee shirt transfer film made for transferring a laser print to fabric. Never used it mind you...

Ive used the Tshirt transfers before, with an inkjet, to good effect on Tshirts.


For front panels etc, you can get A4 sheets where the transfer film floats off in water and is then applied just like the decals on an airfix model kit.
That then needs coat of somthing over the top to protect it.

For laser printers, you can also get sheets of A4 foil, eg goldy looking foil, which a pattern can be printed on & then hot iron transfered onto somthing which is heat resistant.
