Hi,

I'm not sure where else to place this thread, hopefully it's in the right place.

I'm looking to purchase a producer's desk with a few bays on the desktop. I have found something similar to what I'm looking for but the manufacturer has stopped making the design. The others I have found at places like KMR,SX,Thomann etc are too overbuilt or don't look that good.

I wonder if there is anyone around in the UK who I could work with on design and construction? It's for my private mixing studio.

I commissioned racks and a custom desk from Chunky Studio Furniture last year -- and I've been very pleased with both the way it all looks and its performance.

Very helpful and flexible in the design and build, and equally helpful in fixing a small problem that developed later (a small warping problem, fixed by replacing part of the desktop). Highly recommended if that's the kind of look and chunkiness that floats your boat.

We had a carpenter set up shop just across the road from the last studio. I had him build me a couple of double width racks on castors made from ash which turned out really well and cost no more than the standard studio racks from other suppliers.

John, the owner delivered it to me personally and built it in my studio!
