Morning all
Early last year I picked up a single 18” Rcf sub for my band (needless to say it’s not moved far since) and currently have some 12” Rcf active tops.
As we use an electric kit and run everything through the pa, kit/bass/keys/gtr & vocals, would we be better off with 15”s up top or stick with the 12”s. Either way I’m looking at some additional kit..
Cheers

If you're running a sub I'd stick with 12" tops. The sub will take care of the bottom end and generally a 12" will give you better mid-range than a 15".

Ignore the post count, I have no idea what I'm doing...

Yup +1, 12" tops usually sound better in the vocal range than 15". To get the crossover point high enough for the HF driver/horn it is up in the area where a 15" driver is getting sketchy. A 12" driver has a little more HF extension so that becomes less of a problem.
