Assume you've tried your local distributor?

Probably the best people to ask are the distributors - Source Distribution.
https://www.sourcedistribution.co.uk/te ... er=GENELEC
They were very helpful when I had an issue with something I bought from them.

Re: Genelec re-cone kits
i got a reply from above but there are no recone kits for the mid range drivers or cant source any but do have a 3rd party refoam kit which is what i will need and is 20 euro plus glue and postage so have a option to get them sorted or can do it for me if needed under 100 euro.
i did find a new driver but it was £1100! so not a option if that is how much new old stock costs.

I guess it's worth taking a punt on at £100, especially if the alternative is £1100 or a new speaker.

Re: Genelec re-cone kits
I'd try the DIY approach first. With my Tannoys I found that DIY refoaming was no more difficult than fitting a complete recone kit. Only thing is you need to wait a day or two for the glue to dry properly before using them.

might just get the kit then and give it a go on one of them as dont look that hard to do tho moving these things is going to be mission on its own at 60kilos each. :round1:

from hhb a new driver is £510 and a recone kit is £333 but as i only need the outer foam part ill get the 3rd party kit from Germany.

Re: Genelec re-cone kits
Sounds like the best approach without a serious upfront commitment.

Re: Genelec re-cone kits
yeah i just cant get over the price they want for a recone kit for a 5" driver seems a bit excessive to me but no other driver will fit the waveguide assembly so sort of stuffed on that one :headbang:
