iMac 2011 and 2 extra Monitors, possible?

Postby james090 » Tue Aug 13, 2019 12:22 pm

I have an iMac Mid-2011 2.5Ghz Intel Core i5 and 16GB RAM, and SSD.
This is not strictly an Audio question, but a setup question for my studio, so hopefully it still counts? :D

I also have a Samsung DVI Monitor which works great with the iMac via the Thunderbolt/Mini-display port Adaptor, but also have a similar VGA Samsung Screen connected to a separate old PC laptop which is ancient.

Is there a special Adaptor to power both screens from just the iMac? so that I have the iMac in the middle and the 2 screens either side, so 3 monitor screens in total? I did plug the VGA Samsung Screen into the iMac on its own (as the other Samsung DVI Monitor which works great), and the resolution was a little off, so may need some adjustments there..

Can I run both screens as extras to the iMac? If possible I will then run something like Parallels Desktop for my limited PC needs and have a much leaner setup.

Thank you
