Accentize introduce free dxLevel plug-in

Offers loudness levelling for speech and dialogue

Accentize dxLevel dialogue loudness levelling plug-in

Accentize have built up a solid reputation with their audio-restoration tools, and their latest plug-in is kindly being given away for free to those who subscribe to the company’s newsletter.

Designed specifically for voice content, dxLevel is said to be the ideal solution for levelling the likes of speech, dialogue, podcasts and interview recordings. It’s capable of analysing dialogue separately to any background sound, and thanks to a Preserve Ambience mode, will balance the level of voices without affecting the volume of background noise. As a result, the plug-in can be used to carry out a significant amount of level adjustment without suffering with the artefacts introduced by more typical dynamic processors.

Adjustable look-ahead and levelling speed options allow the plug-in to handle everything from slow, natural transitions to face-paced dynamic conversations, while a Target LUFS option automatically adjusts dialogue to meet the user’s chosen loudness level. Take a look at the video below to see and hear it in action.

Key Features

  • Preserve Ambience mode for natural backgrounds.
