The Bob Moog Foundation are currently running a fundraising raffle for a brand-new Bob Moog Tribute Edition Minimoog Model D (serial number 001), valued at $3999.
Created to celebrate Bob Moog’s enduring legacy and impact on electronic music, the Tribute Edition version of the Minimoog Model D reissue was limited to a production run of just 500 units. The instrument in question’s cabinetry is crafted from unique quartersawn white oak wood, while logo decals of Moog Music and the Bob Moog Foundation can be found on the synth’s rear panel — a Minimoog SR Series travel case is also included in the prize draw.
“The first groundbreaking Minimoog was shipped in November of 1970, and its lineage has endured for the past 56 years. We are excited to offer serial number one of the Bob Moog Tribute Edition Minimoog Model D while celebrating Bob Moog’s indelible impact on music and synthesis.” - Michelle Moog-Koussa, Executive Director, The Bob Moog Foundation
Funding raised by the raffle will be used to expand Dr. Bob’s SoundSchool, a hallmark educational project created by The Bob Moog Foundation which has so far inspired over 40,000 school students through the science of sound. It also supports the preservation of the Bob Moog Foundation Archives, a collection of historical items that includes over 5000 photographs, scores of instruments and prototypes and over 3000 schematics; and the Moogseum, an immersive, experiential museum in Asheville, North Carolina that brings the science of sound and synthesis to life for people of all ages through Bob Moog’s pioneering legacy.
Raffle tickets are priced at $25 each, $100 for 5, $200 for 12 and $500 for 35. The raffle begins Monday, 18 May at 7:00am EST and ends 11:59pm EST Monday, 8 June 2026 — it is open internationally.
