Celemony announce Tonalic ARA support for Cubase & Nuendo

Steinberg DAWs now boast in-depth Tonalic integration

Celemony Tonalic Steinberg Cubase Nuendo ARA plug-in support

Celemony’s innovative virtual session musician plug-in has just received an update that brings ARA support to Steinberg’s Cubase and Nuendo DAWs.

Starting from 3 June 2026, Cubase 15.0.30 and Nuendo 15.0.30 now have Tonalic embedded directly through the ARA format. The new integration brings the entire library of 30+ session musicians directly into Cubase's Project window, allowing users to search and preview parts from the Right Zone. From there, they can be dragged onto the timeline, where they can be extended and arranged in the same way as standard audio and MIDI tracks. The Tonalic engine — which is built on Melodyne's acclaimed DNA technology —‚ adapts the recorded performances in real time, allowing them to follow every chord change, tempo shift and musical decision users make.

Those with an active Cubase Pro 15, Cubase Artist 15 or Nuendo 15 license will receive Tonalic Essential as a free bundle. Featuring acoustic and electric guitar performances by Uwe Bossert, guitarist of the successful pop-rock band Reamonn (‘Supergirl’), Tonalic Essential is a perpetual license and serves as the entry point into the Tonalic world, with upgrade paths to the larger Tonalic editions available for when more musicians, instruments and creative control are required.

Tonalic also runs in all other major DAWs as a VST3, AU or AAX plug-in.

Pricing & Availability

Tonalic is available as a monthly or annual subscription, currently (4 June 2026) with a $1 introductory offer for the first month. Pre-paid licenses with no subscription commitment (for one month or one year) are available through music dealers.
