The latest arrival to the beyerdynamic range introduces a new compact monitoring headphone that’s been designed to tackle everything from location video shoots and field recording to high-SPL live-sound duties. Engineered in Germany, the DT 275 Pro feature rotatable earcups, a secure locking cable, compatibility across a wide range of playback devices thanks to its low impedance and user-replaceable components.
The DT 275 Pro feature a robust design and offer up to 22dBA of passive noise attenuation, a figure which beyerdynamic say place the cans among the best in their class. The combination of a closed-back design and soft, flexible earpads help to create an effective acoustic seal around the user’s ears, significantly reducing ambient noise and helping to deliver accurate monitoring in noisy environments. A locking bayonet connector keeps the cable firmly in place — helpfully, it can be attached to either earcup — and the company have opted for user-replaceable earpads, headband and cable to ensure users get the most out of their purchase.
“The most common and costly mistakes happen when critical audio decisions have to be made in loud environments. When monitoring issues are only discovered after the moment has passed, there is rarely a second chance. The DT 275 PRO was designed to give creators and audio professionals the confidence to make critical monitoring decisions wherever their work takes them.” — Martin Stahl, Director of Pro Audio Products, beyerdynamic
