Following the news of Native Instruments joining the inMusic brand line-up, Academy and Emmy Award-winning visual effects software developer Boris FX have announced their acquisition of iZotope. The company say that the move positions them as a unified home for professional tools that span the full spectrum of audio and video post-production, with iZotope's restoration, mixing and mastering prowess complementing Boris FX’s existing catalogue of visual effects software.

Boris FX say that the acquisition deepens their well-established professional audio presence, which already includes trusted DAW packages Samplitude and Sequoia, as well as Sound Forge, Acid Pro, Music Studio and the AI-driven CrumplePop, and that the addition of iZotope's machine-learning research and products make them the most comprehensive independent provider of smart audio technology for music, film, television and content creation.
