The latest version of Native Instruments’ flagship virtual instrument and plug-in bundle has just been announced, bringing together a mammoth collection of products from the NI, iZotope and Brainworx ranges. Available in four versions, each with an increasing number of components, Komplete 26 delivers everything from virtual synths and orchestral sample libraries to high-quality mixing and mastering processors, and as you’d expect, offers tight integration with NI’s hardware controllers.
What’s New?
After making a surprise return to the NI line-up in 2025, Absynth 6 is now a part of Komplete, bolstering the synth collection with its evolving, otherworldly sounds. There are two new grand pianos in the form of Claire and Claire: Avant, while Moments: Vocal Clouds delivers ethereal soundscapes created with voice samples. Beatmakers will enjoy the addition of Marco Polo Drums, while LCO Producer Strings combines layered samples of the London Contemporary Orchestra with an onboard synth engine. For those looking for keys sounds there’s the new Definitive Electric Keys Collection, and all of the offerings in the Scene Series now form part of the Komplete bundle.
Hardware Integration
As well as working seamlessly with NI’s own Kontrol-series keyboards and Maschine hardware, the collection also extends support to third-party hardware thanks to the NKS Hardware Partners programme. Currently, the functionality extends to selected controllers by Arturia, Akai Professional, Novation, Korg, Nektar and M-Audio.
Compatibility
Komplete 26 is supported on PCs running Windows 10 and above, and Macs running macOS 12 or higher. VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.
