Nektar Panorama CS12: Reaper & Fender Studio Pro support

Control surface now officially supports four DAWs

Nektar Panorama CS12 Reaper Fender Studio Pro PreSonus Studio One control surface support

When Nektar launched the Panorama CS12 control surface, it worked exclusively with Apple’s Logic Pro, and since then, it’s already received an update that introduced support for Steinberg’s Cubase and Nuendo. Now, the company have launched another that delivers integration with Cockos Reaper and Fender Studio Pro / PreSonus Studio One.

New DAWS

Thanks to the latest version of Nektar’s ControlCore software, the CS12 now boasts deep integration with Fender Studio Pro. The Channel button provides instant access to Studio Pro's macros with knob 1–8 and button 1–4 macros fully assigned and controllable from the hardware. Fender Studio Pro (and Studio One 6 and 7) extensive custom colour options are also taken advantage of by the surface, which mirrors the colours used in the software, including the individual colour-coding of macros.

Reaper users, meanwhile, gain direct send management from the CS12 hardware. New sends can be added on the fly, complete with track destination selection, while a dedicated page provides full control of the selected send — including its pan, pre/post routing, polarity, mono/stereo and mute functions. The Receive from Track page will also now assign level controls to sends that are routed into the currently selected track.

And More!

  • The latest version of ControlCore also kits the Panorama CS12 out with some other new features and enhancements, including:
  • Secondary pan parameters such as Dual Pan or Stereo Width can now be controlled by the Pan rotary while holding Shift.
  • Tempo encoder and foot switch assignments are stored on DAW shutdown for automatic recall when the DAW is next launched.
  • Cubase metronome click volume can now be set by holding the Metronome/Click button and moving the Data/menu control (Cubase only).

Compatibility

Panorama CS12’s ControlCore 1.2 software is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or above, and Macs running macOS 12 and later. Supported DAWs now include Reaper 7, Presonus Studio One 6 – 7/Fender Studio 8, Logic Pro 10.6 and Cubase 13 and higher.
