Pitch Innovations have recently introduced an interesting new tool that’s capable of creating playable kits from any audio loop. Suitable for use with drum, percussion or even melodic material, Loop2Kit automatically slices loops into individual hits and maps them out across a pad-style interface.
Although it may look like your average sampler, the new arrival is said to ‘understand’ the incoming audio, and will analyse every transient before automatically separating out each individual hit. The results are grouped by sound type, and Loop2Kit will even create a selection of round-robin samples in an effort to allow for some variation in repeating phrases.
Everything is arranged within a drum machine-style interface which features a set of 16 pads that can be played from the plug-in itself or via a MIDI controller. An array of onboard sound-shaping tools are present, including ADSR envelopes, pitch and amplitude controls, and there’s a radial sequencer that offer an interesting alternative to traditional step-based sequencing. Loop2Kit also comes loaded with a selection of high-quality built-in effects.
Compatibility
Loop2Kit is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or later, and Macs running macOS 12 and above. VST, VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.

Loop2Kit is available now, and is being offered at an introductory price of $69 until 31 July 2026, when it will increase to $129.
