SHIK have announced that they have opened pre-orders for the S32, a standalone MIDI processor and macro controller which they have entered in the 2026 MIDI Innovation Awards. Designed for both stage and studio applications, the upcoming device packs hands-on macro control, a stackable MIDI processing engine and an array of built-in modulation tools into a convenient, compact unit.
As its name suggests, the S32 is equipped with 32 high-resolution encoders that are each capable of transmitting up to four MIDI messages at a time, with channel, routing, min/max, invert, pickup and MIDI Learn functions available on a per-message basis. Everything can be configured using a pair of function buttons and an endless encoder, with a large OLED display providing an overview of settings are parameter values.
Along with its control functionality, the S32 boasts a built-in MIDI processing engine that offers an array of sequencing, looping, arpeggiation and so on, as well as some powerful modulation capabilities. There are 16 LFOs with adjustable rates, phase, offset and depth controls, and as well as supporting multiple targets per LFO, it’s possible to use one LFO to modulate another. Additionally, any parameter in the unit’s MIDI effects, connected devices or internal LFOs can be assigned and controlled as a macro.
In addition to MIDI control, the S32 will soon be joined by the CV16, an optional module that will kit the controller out with 16 CV outputs, equipping it for use with modular and semi-modular instruments.
