Sonuscore have steadily been introducing a selection of reduced-cost and free versions of their flagship products recently, and the latest member of the family to get the treatment is Elysion 2. The all-new Elysion Elements version is completely free, and includes 30 Themes aimed at composers working in film, TV, games and production music.
Themes are how Sonuscore refer to the sounds created by the instrument, and they fall into four categories: Animated, Pad, Hit and Pulse. While the full version of Elysion contains over 400 Themes, the new free addition to the range offers a curated selection of 30, all of which have been selected to showcase the instrument’s versatile range. Users are provided with full access to the engine itself, meaning they can take advantage of the effects, arpeggiators, envelopes, pan engine and mixer — the only restriction is a locked sound browser.
Where Elysion differs to much of the competition is in its approach to sampling. All of the content has been captured at different volumes and mapped to multiple velocity layers, delivering a much more responsive playing experience than instruments that rely on single samples and volume scaling.

Compatibility
Elysion Elements runs in Native Instruments’ Kontakt Player version 8.10 or higher, which is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or above, and Macs running macOS 13 and later. VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available, along with a standalone application.
