London-based virtual instrument makers Spitfire Audio have introduced a new addition to their Symphonic instruments collection. Taking the same symphony-sized string section used for the award-winning Spitfire Symphonic Strings instrument — also recorded at Air Studios — Spitfire Symphonic Strings Evolutions is designed to help composers create meaningful music that sits easily under dialogue without diverting attention away from the scene.
The Evo Grid technology within Symphonic Strings Evolution is based on the same easy-to-use evolution engine used in other Spitfire Evo Grid instruments. Spitfire claim this will allow you to create and perform engaging, sophisticated and emotional music from the most simplistic of arrangements.
Spitfire claim that as a layering tool it can bring static arrangements to life with elegant, modern and progressive orchestral techniques, and solve one of the harder aspects of media composition: effective gradual transitions from one state to another.
The hands-on grid and access to an endless number of textural layers make this an intriguing instrument for media composers and anyone wanting to make lush and evolving string textures.
It’s available now for the promotional price of £229 inc. VAT / $249 / €259 inc. VAT until Thurs 31st August. Thereafter, the price will increase to £269 inc. VAT / $299 / €309 inc. VAT. It runs as a Kontakt instrument within the free Kontakt Player v5.6.8.
