Add an envelope generator to any plug-in

Sync Audio MegaMorph envelope generator for third-party plug-ins

Sync Audio’s latest creation is a handy utility plug-in that can be used to combine and modulate other effects and instruments. Expanding on the concept of their MegaMod plug-in, MegaMorph ‘attaches’ a multi-segment envelope generator to any third-party plug-in, letting users shape its parameters into rhythmic patterns and evolving movements.

MegaMorph makes it possible to combine multiple synths and effects into what Sync Audio refer to as a Meta-Instrument. Each instrument can host multiple layers of envelopes, and those envelopes can be freely assigned to any parameter, making it possible for users to create interlocking grooves and patterns that play against each other.

Three versions of the plug-in are available: Instrument, FX and Warp. Instrument makes it possible to combine multiple software instruments and effects into a single processor, while FX routes incoming audio signals through three parallel effects racks, functioning as a fully modulatable effects chain for third-party plug-ins; Warp then makes it possible to reshape incoming audio with a selection of built-in effects, including varispeed, time expansion/compression, pitch-shifting, and volume-based processors.

Sync Audio say that the plug-in also provides post-production and sound-design users with a convenient way to render some movement into their audio files. The plug-ins are joined by an AAX AudioSuite version, meaning Pro Tools users can ‘bake in’ the results rather than cluttering up their timeline with multiple tracks and automation lanes.

MegaMorph is supported on PCs running Windows 10 or later, and Macs running macOS 10.15 and above. VST3, AU and AAX plug-in versions are available.
