Synchro Arts have just launched the latest version of their renowned time-alignment plug-in, and it’s said to be the most significant evolution yet.
VocAlign 7 now boasts a multitrack workspace that allows all of a session’s vocal tracks to be displayed, managed and aligned from a single window. As before, any track can be assigned as a guide with the remaining tracks automatically nudged into alignment, but rather than requiring users to manually switch between each layer, the software is now capable of showing all of them at once like a self-contained DAW timeline.
“VocAlign has always been about helping creators spend less time editing and more time making music. As vocal productions have become larger and more complex, we saw an opportunity to rethink the workflow from the ground up. With VocAlign 7, producers can finally work with their entire vocal stack in a single environment, align multiple tracks in one operation, and work with greater speed, confidence and control. It's the most significant workflow advancement we've introduced in VocAlign's history.” — Patrick Bourget, VP of Product, Creative Tools, Synchro Arts | LANDR
What’s New?
- Multi-Track View: Capture every vocal in a single workspace and align multiple tracks simultaneously.
- Track-Based Pitch & Timing Control: Apply corrections globally across a session or make precise adjustments to individual tracks and clips.
- Visual Energy Analysis: Quickly identify alignment issues with visual feedback across all tracks.
- Creative Formant Control: Shape vocal stacks, create convincing doubles and add width with independent formant control.
- SynchroLink 2.0: Keep tuning and alignment synchronised throughout the editing process with tighter integration between VocAlign 7 Pro and RePitch 2, Synchro Arts' pitch-correction software.
“VocAlign defined vocal alignment as a category. Today's producers are managing more vocal layers than ever before, and they need tools that keep pace with their creativity. By bringing every vocal into a single workspace and dramatically reducing repetitive editing, VocAlign 7 allows creators to stay focused on the music rather than the mechanics of production — without ever sacrificing the natural sound VocAlign is known for.” — Daniel Rowland, VP of Strategy and Partnerships, Synchro Arts | LANDR
